Welcome one and all!

Welcome, new readers, to The Hopsack website, and a warm welcome back to those of you who have visited us before 🙂

We hope you enjoy the site and find the information it contains useful and thought provoking. If you’re surfing the e-waves you will find us at www.hopsack.ie.

My name is Rhoda and I write a health-related blog for our website. Please feel free to respond to my blogs by typing your thoughts in the ‘Leave a Reply’ box below and clicking on ‘Submit Comment’. I’ll answer your queries and comments to the best of my ability.

As faithful followers may note, The Hopsack website is undergoing lots of exciting changes at the moment, not least of which being our spanking new newsletter and the expanding of our online shop. This means that if you find yourself unable to make the Great Trek to Dublin 6, we can happily hotfoot it to you along the supersonic CyberHighway.

At The Hopsack, we believe in the importance of education and self-responsibility in matters of personal well-being. While deeply valuing the role played by doctors and other health professionals in healing and maintaining health, we know from experience that there’s much we can do on a day-to-day basis to keep ourselves hale and happy.

Health is wealth and we aim to help you keep your account in the black. Staying healthy on a budget, natural remedies for embarrassing issues, growing your own veg in a teensy tiny space and how to squeeze every last drop of bone-building vitamin D from that yellow thing in the sky (Oh! It’s gone again!) are just a few of the topics we’ll be covering over the coming weeks in our quest for wellness.

However, we’d also love to know what you are interested in reading! If there’s a health-related matter you’d like me to address I’d love to hear from you. Just let me know via the Reply box and I shall do my best to make your dream blog come true.

If you find yourself in Rathmines, it would be lovely to see you. Just pop into the shop for advice, beans, rice, or even a raw vegan chocolate orange slice … nice!

And if you are nowhere near Rathmines, despair not 😉 We are but a fingertip and a modem away…

Did you know…?

Taking beta-carotene regularly can give you an internal SPF of 4 B-)
