Reishi is the most highly revered of all the medicinal mushrooms in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is known as the ‘Mushroom of Immortality’ for its rich storehouse of nutrients and antioxidant compounds and traditionally regarded as having adaptogenic properties. In TCM it is the considered the one mushroom that revitalises the ‘Zheng Qi’ or life force energy. It calms the ‘Shen’ spirit, restores energy, and nourishes the blood.
The mushrooms are grown in the traditional home of red Reishi on duanwood, logs that Reishi grows on in the wild. These nature-identical conditions give our mushrooms a similar nutritional profile to wild-crafted mushrooms.
All our mushrooms are grown on select organic farms and cultivated by experts. Then once it is harvested, the Reishi goes through two different types of extractions to draw out the key nutrients, obtaining only the purest bioactive compounds.
