Tried & Tested: Everything Balm

The Hopsackers have been trialling a range of products in the store, to bring you their top picks and honest recommendations. Last month, Eva tried out Trilogy Everything Balm. Here's what she had to say about it…

First of all I want to say that Trilogy Everything Balm smells amazing! This was the first thing which I noticed and loved about the product- that sweet almond, light rose fragrance immediately brings calm and a sense of well-being to one.

That old colloquialism of, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover' fortunately does not apply here. Keeping with the same standard and care as that which is reflected in the effeminately patterned little floral tin, the smell, texture and taste (had to make sure of its quality ;)) lives up to all one’s expectations.

Smooth yet delicate on the skin, the only one complaint I would have of the product is that it was quite difficult to get out of the tin. This however could be a good thing, a deterrent to using the entire tin in one week or so. As I soon found, though it may at first seem as though you need a lot, a little of this balm really does go along way. Once it makes contact with heat, it tends to spread more like an oil (but without that greasy oil factor).

Where and how did I use it? Well apart from the abovementioned tasting, I was a lot more partial to using it as a lip balm, hand cream and arm cream. Simply put and just like the tin says it's an ‘everything balm’, but it works noteworthing-ly well on areas of the skin which may be just that little bit dryer. Though I used it once or twice on my face, I prefered and found it more beneficial when used as a lip salve or hand cream after a long day at work!

Its definitely something which I will be keeping in my near non-existent beauty cabinet from now on. Multi-functional, easily transported (it comes in a handy little tin) and lovingly made, it's a product everyone could do with-male or female!
