All of the food is vegetarian, the majority of which is vegan and made from gluten-free ingredients. Pull up a seat and enjoy your meal at our communal table. We're open every day and serve breakfast (warm porridge or bircher muesli), lunch (daily hot special, salads, pizza slices & veggie burgers), sweet treats (protein energy balls, pumpkin cake, black bean brownies & lots more!) and brunch on the weekends (Sat 10.30-2.30 & Sun 12-3).
Nicky Halliday has been our head chef at the Hopsack for over 2 years. Nicky studied Culinary Arts in a holistic nutrition school in California. This professional training focused on cooking for optimum health while using alternative ingredients. As Nicky is also a qualified nutritional therapist, she dedicates her time to preparing dishes that can be adapted to everybody's health requirements, whether it be gluten free, dairy free, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, sugar free or low carb. Her food is not only bursting with nutrients but it tastes delicious too. Her creative energy and passion make our deli one of the most original in Dublin. The ingredients used by Nicky, her superb sous-chef Shona and brunch Chef Kosta are provided by the shop and are of the finest quality, thereby ensuring a consistently high standard.
To ensure our soups, savouries and sweet treats are all fresh as can be, we produce just as much as we need so may run out of items from this list. Give us a call to check if your favourites are in stock.
